Troy places convenience over her strong environmental concerns.

Woman's environmental convictions superceded by need for plastic bag

Venice, Calif. -- Environmental activist Carol Troy allowed the convenient nature of a Ziploc bag to supercede her pro-environment principles last week, sources confirm. Troy, a longtime member of Save The Earth, was reportedly in a hurry to rejoin her dinner guests' conversation, prompting the 34-year-old hostess to use a non-biodegradable package to quickly preserve dinner leftovers.

"I was trying to entertain," said Troy of her ecological consent. "I usually use glass jars for storing food, but seeing as how I was in such a hurry I figured, 'I guess it's okay this one time.' But normally I would never use such an item; their use only promotes further destruction of the planet."

Troy declined to comment on why she owned the Ziploc bag in the first place, or why she drives an S.U.V. that only gets 12 miles per gallon.
