X-ECUTIONERS BUILT FROM SCRATCH LOUD RECORDS There are a number of talented DJ crews. The Beat Junkies, Scratch Piklz, Triple Threat and many others are pushing the envelope, modifying the turntable into much more than just a means of backing up the rhyme. X-ecutioners straddle the line - they are without a doubt extraordinarily talented, but with this release, we find them broadening their scope a bit. Maybe even a bit too much. There are tracks on this record with members of Linkin Park, Everlast, M.O.P., etc. Crossover appeal? Yes. But they run the risk of alienating those who actually appreciate their skills. Sure the beats are hard, and there are more crabs scratching around here than you'll find on any beach, but as soon as Everlast shows up on any track, all interest is lost. -- AW
